I didn't think that someone could love someone that they've really never seen, but now I believe you can. I am totally and utterly in love with the little person that is growing inside of me. My husband and I nicknamed her "Poppyseed" because that's how big she was when we found out we were going to be parents.
I used to hear parents of newborns and kids say that they have changed their outlook on life and that now instead of living for what they wanted, it was living for a child. I used to think...really? How can someone change from this selfish person to such a giving person in a split second? Now I can totally see that. Starting from when your child is in your womb, you do not do things that are harmful to your growing baby even if it is something that you have enjoyed and thought you couldn't live without. Or you start doing things that you didn't think you can ever do. (cuz it's good for your child.) Mom's go through the hardship of morning sickness (a.k.a all day sickness) for months in some cases, and are willing to do it again for their 2nd or 3rd or even 4th child. However, in college or even now, when you've had a little too much to drink and you get a major hangover you beg and pled to God to let this pass and that you will never do it again. And that is just for a day!
Before I got pregnant and started having morning sickness, I really didn't understand the severity of it. I thought it was a few hours in the morning and bam it's gone for the rest of the day. Think again....for me, it was literally ALL day ALL night for months! I will be honest, during those months I didn't think I would make it. However, seeing little Poppyseed move around in the ultrasound and hearing her heartbeat melted my heart. I would DEFINATELY do it all over again for this little princess!
I can't wait to meet my little Poppyseed and hold her in my arms!

SAM! Hi! Oh my goodness, congratulations on your baby! When are you due? Sorry I've been so terrible at keeping in touch. 2 kiddos definitely keep me busy these days. I'm so excited for you and Sean. Call me sometime!
